A packed audience of people at Northwestern University’s Cahn Auditorium tonight for a play about the October 7th attack had to be evacuated when sirens went off approximately 1 1/4 hours into the performance.
Audience members spent about a half hour in the grounds across from the auditorium after police annd security arrived.
They were then readmitted back to watch the remainder of the play, a verbatim play by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, receiving its first airing in the area.

One of the sponsors told the audience once gathered that the cause for the sirens was not yet determined.
About 20 minutes remains in the play, which stitches together victim testimonies about the attack which took the lives of 1.219 people.
