AMC Evanston 12 will temporarily close from Monday until early 2027 for renovations. Plans include downsizing by five screens and installing “spacious reclining seating,” according to a Tuesday news release from the company.

Mung Chiang has been named the 18th president of Northwestern University.

Chiang is a renowned researcher, educator, national science advisor and higher education leader. He is currently president of Purdue.
